Week 10-Post 1- Promotional Video uploaded to YouTube

After a full week of video shooting and video editing, below is the final result of the promotional video for HouseTrader Malta. The video’s main aim is to provide a brief introduction of Malta and then promote a specific property which is available for purchase as the bargain of the month. The video lasts 1 minute 45 seconds. To attract all types of viewers the video was uploaded to YouTube and embedded among the different social media networks identified in the social media plan:

Week 9-Post 1- Storyboarding the ideas before Video Shoot

This week gave a start to the video storyboarding, the main idea is to create a promotional video for HouseTrader Malta. As all good videos start with, one needs to storyboard the ideas and identify the main elements needed prior to start video shooting. Below is the storyboarded idea:

Week 7-Post 1-Creation of Social Media Plan

This week I have dedicated time to produce a Social Media Plan which explains how will the Real Estate Agency create an effective marketing campaign. Based on the previous analysis of social media and the identified recommendations, the social media plan tackles all aspects to effectively promote and strengthen HouseTrader Malta’s name in the current real estate market.

Maintaining professionalism on social media networks. 

Whether we love it or hate it, social media is here to stay. Socail media is in use worldwide because it is considered as a simple way of staying and touch and communication with families and friends, sharing ideas, photos and other interests.

The fact that social media is an open and free for all environment creates concerns to social media page administrators. This is because nowadays, formality on social media is minimally  adopted. Therefore, to create a successful social media plan one need to use professionalism which as a result allows in improving the public image of the agency.

There are a variety of do’s and don’ts when speaking about professional use of social media some of which are:

  • Only link, follow or friend people you know and trust.
  • Hide friend’s comments or information that is deemed to be inappropriate.
  • Avoid sharing emotionally, religiously or politically charged statements when posting
  • Never complain about your work or worries, if you do so you are expressing that you’re not a professional
  • Only post professional photos/videos
  • Never mention politics, they may backfire
  • Only align to good and suitable content
  • Don’t post poor statements, they should be engaging.
  • …..

Obviously, there are much more other points and studies focusing on the best practices towards professional use of social media. However, I will try and maintain this professionalism throughout the entire social media plan.

The way that social media has shaped nowadays’ lifestyles requires companies to make use and invest in different social media networks to promote their products or services. However, it is of utmost importance that the company creates a clearly defined social media strategy.

The main factors towards success are the maintainability of social media, appropriate use of branding together with responsible and professional administrators to post and monitor comments.

Maintaining social media is not easy considering the vast range of social media networking sites available globally. Week 4- Post 1- In Depth Analysis of Social Media

This area follows Week 2- Post 2 which is related to the different social media marketing tools currently being used by the two real estate agencies being assessed. This discussion attached in a Google Drive link includes an in-depth research study of what are the most effective social media networking sites currently being used. Utmost focus will be given to Remax and Perry Real Estate Agencies respectively.
In my next post, I will submit my recommendations following the analysis attached below.
